Problem

Alma Da Beira Alta, a Portuguese folklore and cultural association based in Luxembourg, needed both a public-facing presence and internal operational tools — event and gallery management, member registration, and finance tracking — run by a small volunteer team, with data handling that holds up under GDPR.

Solution

A public site (homepage, events with registration, photo gallery, about/mission) built with React 19, Vite, Tailwind CSS v4, Chakra UI, and Framer Motion, paired with an authenticated admin panel for event, gallery, and finance management — income and expense tracking with CSV export/import and Recharts analytics — plus QR-code event check-in. Firebase Authentication and Firestore run the backend, EmailJS handles contact and notification forms, and the site is available in English, French, Portuguese, and German via i18next. GDPR-compliant Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and Cookie Policy pages ship with a first-visit consent banner.

Outcome

Live and stable in production since before PearLabs took on the project, with the GDPR legal-compliance work — Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, Cookie Policy, and the consent banner — completed as a subsequent engagement.
